A trip to Newcastle this weekend for Scott and fiancé Mary-jane, staying with Henry and partner Abi. With tickets purchased to see Fatherson at the Head of Steam in the evening, the four of us were in search of something different to do pre-gig so decided to head to Lane7 beforehand for a spot of bowling.
For the first face to face meeting of 2015 for Back Lane Breweries founders, it was decided that we would take a trip to the Lancaster Brewery based in; yeah you guessed it, Lancaster.
Few things are as warming on a frosty morning as a trip to a good pub and there aren’t many better than the Prince Of Wales. The Prince of Wales is a pub in the truest sense of the word.
The Wellington Inn or ‘the Welly’ is a great little pub located in the rural village of Loppergarth about 2 miles outside of Ulverston towards Barrow-in-Furness. It is also the home of Healey’s Brewery.
On new year’s eve this year I decided it would be a good idea to head up to Staveley with a few friends to have lunch and sample a few beers at the Hawkshead Brewery then walk it off in the surrounding countryside before heading home for the new year’s celebrations.
